  • The easiest way to switch is to use the quick tool on the Earth Day Switch website.  We recommend also writing to your bank to tell them you are leaving due to their fossil fuel investments, to make sure your switch really counts.
  • Switching a current account in the UK is really easy due the Current Account Switch Guarantee. Your new bank will do most of the work for you.
  • To move your current account in the UK, you can use The Current Account Switch Service. This is a free service that closes your old current account, moves your balance and switches any payments. This service is run by Bacs, the not-for-profit organisation behind Direct Debit in the UK. Read their how to switch guide here.
  • Follow these steps to transfer a savings account.
.Use Earth Day Switch to find out how your bank compares.
