Rest of World

Sorry, language barriers have made it more challenging to compile detailed resources for other countries so far, but you can still move your money! We have included links to resources below to help you choose a new bank. Please contact us via social media if you have any resource suggestions for the website.

Campaigns to support:
  • You can also sign BankTrack's Global Call on banks to stop financing fossil fuels.
  • In Europe? Call on your national bank and the ECB to stop funding fossil fuels.
Remember to tell your old bank you are leaving because they fund fossil fuels. You can use the template here.

If you are unsure of the switching services available, ask your new bank. They want you to join them so should be helpful!
Banks in EU countries should provide a switching service..

You might also find resources for your country on Fair Finance.

Smaller banks are sometimes owned by the big banks, so be sure to check who owns your bank.  You might be able to find this information on your bank's website, ask them directly or check these lists on Wikipedia.
  • GABV membership is a good indication that a bank is truly sustainable and ethical. See the full list at gabv.org. There is also B Corp certification.
  • Generally speaking, credit unions and building societies are better choices too.

  • Check if there are any 350.org campaigns or resource pages for your country.
